Circulation Policies

The library is open from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm daily. Students are permitted to check out materials during the scheduled daily intermediate open book exchange block or primary library class time. The library is also open for a half hour after school for book exchange.

The borrowing limits are:

• Kingergarten = 1 book

• Grades 1 to 3 = 2 books

• Grades 4 to 7 = 3 books

If you are doing a special school assignment, please talk to us and we will happily increase your borrowing limit.

Books are on loan for 2 weeks. Please RETURN your materials or RENEW them by the set due date.

Sometimes the book you are looking for is already checked out. You can always put a book on hold by filling out a pink hold slip or logging in online to Destiny Discover. Holds can be picked up during library class, open book exchange or after school.

LIMIT OF 1 HOLD SLIP PER LIBRARY VISIT

Remember that any book you borrow from the library is your responsibility to look after. 

• Keep library books in a safe spot away from pets and little siblings

• Transport library books in a plastic bag (WATER damage is a major reason for book damage)

• Do not eat or drink while reading library books

• Do not lend your library books to friends

• Leave trying to repair any book damage to the Teacher-Librarians

We realize accidents happen. Please report any loss or damage of library books to the Teacher-Librarians. You may be assigned a bill for the cost of replacing the book in our collection.
