On May 13th, twelve teams of intermediate students took part in our annual Battle of the Books competition in the library answering questions about our 10 Surrey Schools Book of the Year nominees. Congratulations to the winning team "Mac & Cheese" (Mia, Ava, Olivia, Elizabeth, Miller) moved on to the virtual District wide competition which was held on June 3rd.
June is Pride Month In Surrey Schools everyone is welcomed, valued and belongs and has the right to feel safe and included.
June is Indigenous History Month a time to celebrate and recognize the rich history, diverse cultures and significant contributions of First nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.

All library books are now due. Return your books and you can enter a draw to win one of four Squishmallows. The draw will take place on the last day of school.

Join Surrey Public Libraries Summer Reading Club beginning June 19!
How it works
Get your Summer Reading Club materials. Register at any of our 10 branches. Receive a reading record to track your reading, a temporary tattoo, a bookmark and a prize draw entry. You can also request materials for family and friends.
Read all summer and set personal reading goals. We recommend at least 15 minutes a day for 49 days. Visit to collect your stickers. One sticker for every 7 days of reading.
Join Programs: check our events calendar for fun programs, both in-person and online.
Earn a Medal. Beginning August 6, after finishing your reading goal, visit your branch to pick up your medal and enter in our Grand Prize Contest.
Register online (optional): Starting on June 17 visit the BC SRC website and your grown-up can help you register. Set your reading goal, earn virtual badges, and participate in great weekly online activities.
