Karly Rain Wood was killed at only 20 years young on November 13, 2022. She went to visit some friends at her first party ever. She worked 3 jobs and decided to join after her shift. . She was at the party just 15 minutes and was shot 8x. MURDERED. Repeat violent offenders and felons with guns. were involved with multiple guns,. This is unsolved and no one from the party feels the urge to speak up for her. She trusted that she would be safe, she thought her "friends" had her back. Several people at a party and people who called themselves friends refuse to speak to the police. Witnesses remain silent.

Karly was beyond kind to everyone & stood out among the crowd. She stood up for people & what she believed in. Karly Rain was just beginning her young adult life and had many goals set. She had 3 jobs and possessed a large work ethic. She was an entrepreneurial spirit who was saving to buy a home and execute her business plan to be a business owner. She was gong to put her talents and passion for beauty and fashion into motion. Talented at anything she did & amazing at learning any new skill or project she set her mind to. Self teaching & ever searching for knowledge & success. Karly lit up the room & left a positive mark on anyone who knew her. She took control of her happiness and lived in the moment. She loved life! She encouraged others to embrace who they were and be true to themselves.

GOALS: Headstone and place of remembrance. Get her Foundation Started. Raise $15,000 to do a library and book fair project for her elementary school. Karly's Kindness Drive Cat shelter donations and more. Getting the Foundation registered and started is KEY. Priority 1.

Karly's Angels Foundation - Starting Karly's Foundation and getting it registered with the right paperwork and legal fees various cost is our first hurdle. We hope to get this non profit started and be able to set in motion all of the areas of help and positive change that represents Karly and her everything. GOAL $8,000
Karly's Kindness Drive - we plan to start a random acts of kindness drive similar to what Karly did in her life. She knew that people needed help sometimes before they did. Karly knew that just one good deed can make a huge difference in someone's life and they remember it... then maybe will pass it on. Energy matters. GOAL $7-10,000
Karly's Korner Library Project and Book Drive - we plan to create a Karly "vibed" corner in her elementary school library filled with her energy, vibe and books she would have loved about confidence, skill learning, music, self care, hygiene, fashion, plants, cats, animals and more. We will also give low income students "book fair vouchers" so they can select items they want from the book fair at school. This was important to Karly growing up as her mother was on a budget and sometimes limited to what they could get at the book fair. She loved books, learning and art and would love to be sure that low income kids like herself could choose any book they wanted to learn or love to read. GOAL $20,000

Karly Rain was one of the most giving, kind and talented people you would ever meet. As soon as she walked into a room, you would notice her and instantly feel a bit better. Statuesque and beyond strikingly beautiful. She had a glow about her that just spread. Her smile was infectious and she was perfectly beautiful with amazing features and a drive to improve everyday. Self taught in many skills and hobbies. She was literally perfect at anything she put her mind to. Karly was a hard worker and had a business mind since a young age. She created many things over the years and sold them on her own, such as slime, bath salts/bombs, lip gloss and more. She was a talented singer and could draw like no other. Self taught and amazing at nail art, tooth gem application and more! A hard worker with 3 jobs and a zest to learn more. She loved her pets and had recently rescued a kitty from outside her work. She loved plants and herb healing as well.
Karly was born in Omaha, Nebraska and loved being around her family and friends. Playing many sports as a child including softball, swimming, and volleyball. She loved elementary school and learning new things. Show Choir, Art and pottery. She loved to be challenged. She would seek out knowledge and how to do anything that interested her. Always giving, always sharing and always choosing happiness. Karly loved life. She said it a lot. She had so many goals, dreams and was executing plans to achieve them. Karly was set to achieve GREATNESS.
We will continue to fight for Karly Rain and share her story. This is considered a MASS SHOOTING as there were 9 total people shot, however Karly was the ONLY one killed and the only one shot more than 2x. This happens all too often and at the hands of repeat offenders. There are laws that benefit repeat offenders and criminals more than the innocent law abiding public. Elected officials need to understand the devastation and unbearable pain and loss these repeat offenders leave behind. This not only effects the person who was hurt or killed, but the family, friends, coworkers and communities who lose them. We need to demand change and making public safety the requirement no matter the cost. Sleepless nights, indescribable pain to these families. Victims losing their life and future to felons who are repeatedly let back on the streets is unacceptable. The judicial and corrections system needs to answer for this incompetency and lack of attention to public safety. Lawmakers owe the law abiding citizens more attention to their right to be safe, rather than a criminal's rights after poor choices and repeat harm. Karly's mother continues to fight for change and victim voice enhancement. Amber wants people to remember Karly Rain and spread her kindness, love, independence, empowerment to young women and random acts of Karly Rain.
