Instructional Technology Terminology
According to our text, "Instructional technology is the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of processes and resources for learning." (Reiser, Dempsey, 2018)
How I Define Instructional Technology
Instructional technology encompasses development, utilization, design, utilization, management and evaluation systems and processes for learning. When used to support learning, Instructional Technology can solve educational problems through the effective use of varying learning management platforms, learning theories, and instructional design models. Instructional Technology can help improve educational and training programs in a variety of organizations, private corporations, to include school systems, and higher education through the application of research, innovation, and best practices from instructional technology. There are however a myriad of factors to consider including budgetary, ethical, and student privacy in evaluating new programs and processes.

Instructional Methods
Instructional methods consist of principles and methods used by teachers to enhance and relate training to learners. Learn about these strategies and use them in relation with characteristics of your learners and your training needs.
Instructional Media
Our text states that, "the term Instructional media has been defined as the physical means via which instruction is presented to learners (Reiser & Gagne, 1983). Under this definition, every physical means of instructional delivery, from the live instructor, to the textbook to the computer and so on, would be classified as an instructional medium." (Reiser, Dempsey, 2018)
