This is me with my amazing Quill & Scroll officer team! I am president of the journalism national honor society, Quill & Scroll, at Tupelo High School. Part of my job is organizing meetings, planning induction, updating officers, and promoting scholastic journalism among our members. It is an honor that my fellow journalists voted for me!
I was chosen to represent Wave Media at MSPA's 'cover the convention' at Fall 2023 MSPA. I got the opportunity to work with Southern Miss journalism students. I wrote broadcast stories and asked questions. I got to learn editing software and how to work different types of broadcast cameras. This gave a lot of journalism experience and I am greatful for this opportunity
As president of Quill and Scroll I got to opportunity to run our annual journalism career fair. The career fair brings in professionals in the fld of jounralism or related to journalism. This is a great opportunity for the students of Tupelo Highs School's media programs to learn what journalism is like outside of the classroom.
