About Helen Reed
Kappatalize Wellness was started by Helen Reed in 2011, where she ran holistic fitness classes and helped thousands of people transform their approach to their health and well being.
Her fitness classes were run in the local parks and beaches of the St George and Sutherland regions in the South of Sydney.
Helen continued to expand her love for learning, and evolved into connecting each of her experiences as a fitness instructor, health coach, change coach and Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness teacher to take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
She found that connecting body, mind and spirit helped people not only manage their physical health and wellness, however their emotional, mental and psychological wellness too.
She evolved Kappatalize Fitness into Kappatalize Wellness, to focus on a more holistic approach to living each day mindfully, with a healthy mind and body.
Helens classes focus on mind body connection through practices such as Flow Movement, Yoga (Hatha) and Vinyassa Flow, Yogalates, Yin-Yoga Meditation and Mindfulness, tantra yoga and embodiment practices, and general fitness and wellbeing.
Learning to immerse yourself in your life through these practices will bring a centred, balanced and mindful approach to how you go about your day.
NOTE THAT CHILDREN 9 - 14 YEARS OLD CAN ATTEND WITH PARENT SUPERVISION FOR FREE
Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga by passively holidng poses blended with more dynamic sequences and movement. Yang is dynamic and warming whist yin is passive and cooling.
This style is great for mobility and flexibility whilst balanced with calming the mind and finding stillness
Yogalates/Pilates is a combination of yoga poses (asanas), and pilates.
These classes combine the benefits of strength training of Pilates and the flexibility of yoga in one session.
All of our classes are geared towards all fitness levels, and body types and helps tone core muscles.
Mindful Meditation is a new 8 week program that focuses on bringing more mindfulness into every day life. We will practice meditation techniques including breath work, body awareness, self-compassion and kindness, metta meditation and explore our senses.

Yin Yoga is a healing practice, where we find mind body connection in each asana or pose that we practice.
Yin yoga is a slow, passive style of yoga, done mostly on the floor in seated or lying-down postures. In Yin, we hold an asana, or pose, for several minutes to connect with our bodies in a meditative state.
All of our classes focus on Mindfulness - this is where we focus on breath, prescence and synchronising our movement with breathe. As such our classes are a great way to start to focus on bringing a meditative practice into your life
Why Meditate and Breathe?
We all live live on the go, where we mutli task, have multiple committments.
This can lead to overwhelm, stress, anxiety, depression.
This class is a great way to reduce stress, increase self awareness, compassion and kindness, and to release anxiety.
Its also a great way to start a meditation, breathework or mindfulness practice or continue to grow in this space, and build body, mind and spiritual connection
Why practice Yogalates or PIlates
Yogalates uses a mind-body connection to improve physical, emotional and spiritual levels as we practice. It helps us improve our breathing, circulation and energy levels.
Yogalates speeds up metabolism, so combined with good nutrition, this type of exercise can be used very effectively for our physical body goals, whether it be to increase our muscle tone, or reduce our body mass.
Its a great balance between stretching and lengthening our bodies and our minds
What is Flow (Natural) Movement
Flow movement is a great way to connect movement with breathe and emphasises deliberate movement.
It not only builds up strength, flexibility and stability in both our body and minds, its a great way to increase mobility in our joints, reduce pain and inflammation that can build up in our joints.
As you deepend your flow practice not only will you feel that you can move about more easily, the practice will become effortless
Why practice Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow and challenging practices. It enables you slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps alleviate stress and restore your energy levels.
Whilst most people prefer fast paced yoga practices, yin yoga is a healing practice that not only improves flexibility, boosts circulation, and reduces tension, it challenges the mind to stay focused on breath in a meditative state in an asana.
It helps promote resilience and being ok with the uncomfortable moments in our lives
