Curriculum

Whole CHild SUPPORT

Why is a curriculum important in SEL?

Having a curriculum, model, or guide to ground your Whole Child program is important. Not only does it ensure that you have solid, evidenced based materials to work from, it also helps your team access resources and tools that are easy to use and fully developed.  The resources you see below are some of the programs and curriculum that our team have found to be helpful.

However, there are some districts and schools that choose to develop an SEL model that is a blend of several programs and curricula. This a complicated and labor intensive process. It involves research, training, and team support. Yes there are districts who have done this successfully.  These districts include Kalamazoo Public Schools, Parchment Public Schools, Galesburg-Augusta Public Schools, and Ferndale Public Schools.  As you explore the resources below, you will find some tools and models that may work for you and your district.
