Compare seller measurements with a garment that already fits before choosing a Kakobuy clothing size. This guide helps you distinguish body measurements, flat garment widths and size labels, then write a precise measurement request. It does not provide a universal size conversion.
Body measurement: a measurement around the wearer. A brand chart may map this to a size range.
Flat garment width: a straight distance across clothing laid flat. A 54 cm chest width is not a 54 cm body chest circumference.
Size label: S, M, L or a numeric size identifies an option in that listing. It is not evidence that two sellers use the same dimensions.
As an example of the distinction, Nike’s official body-sizing instructions measure around the chest. That chart does not establish the dimensions or authenticity of a third-party listing in this directory. Ask the seller which measurement system their own chart uses.
Choose a similar item you like wearing, place it flat without stretching it, and use centimetres throughout. Photograph where your tape begins and ends. Follow the seller’s measurement diagram if it differs from your own method.
T-shirt or hoodie: record flat chest width, body length with clearly named endpoints, shoulder width if the design has shoulder seams, and sleeve length with its starting point.
Jacket: use a reference you can wear over the intended layers. Compare chest and sleeve measurements with that reference; do not add an arbitrary number of sizes.
Trousers: record flat waist, whether it is relaxed or stretched, inseam and rise using the same endpoints as the seller.
Knitwear: compare relaxed dimensions. Stretching a knit to reach a desired number does not show how it will hang when worn.
Hypothetical reference T-shirt: flat chest 52 cm, length 70 cm. Candidate A: 54 cm and 72 cm. Candidate B: 58 cm and 68 cm. A is 2 cm wider across the chest and 2 cm longer; B is 6 cm wider and 2 cm shorter. “L” on either option would not explain those differences.
Twice a flat width gives an approximate garment circumference: 54 × 2 = 108 cm. This is a geometry check, not a body-size recommendation. Cut, fabric, stretch and measurement error still affect fit. Ask for the seller’s tolerance rather than assuming a universal allowance.

“For order [number], item [ID], size [ ], please confirm the garment’s flat [measurement] in cm, measured from [start] to [end] without stretching. Please show the full tape and both endpoints in the photo. Confirm any measurement/photo fee before proceeding.”
If the chart is missing or unclear, ask before purchasing. If the item is already in the warehouse, check whether a measurement service is available and whether there is time to decide before the applicable return deadline. A blurry ruler photo is a reason to ask for clarification, not to invent a dimension.
Confirm the exact model, selected sizing system and seller chart. Record both shoe labels when warehouse images are available. An insole measurement can be additional evidence if the seller explains how it was taken; it does not guarantee usable internal space or fit. Do not apply the clothing calculation to shoes.

Keep a dated evidence record
To keep the comparison alongside later warehouse photos, use the copyable clothing-evidence record. Record the measurement method and exact variant before adding QC observations. This supplementary template is maintained by the same independent editor, Jay Moo; it is not an external endorsement.
