本研究提出一套以XML為基礎的互動式劇本標記語言(Interactive Drama Markup Language, IDML),讓一般教師不需要學習任何程式語言,即可以創造出具有代理人的多媒體互動系統。在發展架構規劃方面,IDML遵從目前大多數標記語言的設計原則,提供易讀的IDML標籤結構來進行代理人的行為描述,亦另外提供劇本編寫工具給使用者去快速的建立IDML互動式劇本,並產生圖型化的人機互動介面(如圖一所示)。而且,IDML還融入了劇情互動的概念,允許一般使用者設定分支式的事件描述,讓觀看IDML互動式劇本的讀者或觀眾可以直接影響故事的內容,進而依據自己的選擇去驅動不同的劇情,達到人機互動的效果。

本研究以IDML為基礎發展出具有教學代理人之數位教學系統,其包含三個重點發展部份,分別是IDML為基礎的課程描述語言、課程編寫工具以及互動性多媒體數位教學系統。本研究使用IDML為基礎的課程描述語言做為中間媒介資料角色,讓教師可以利用課程編寫工具來編寫課程內容,並打包成IDML課程描述文件;學生只要安裝並執行本研究提供的互動性多媒體數位教學系統,即可透過本系統來播放欲學習之課程描述文件,並讓學生進行線上學習活動。另外,為了增加電腦輔助學習的吸引性與有趣性,本研究不但有動畫型教學代理人來協助學生從事學習活動,亦納入機器人做為實體型教學代理人來提高學生的學習興趣(如圖二所示)。目前,這套數位教材製作系統已實際應用於數所國民小學,並透過這幾所小學的實驗成果,確實驗證本系統的確能夠支援教師的課堂教學活動,並且幫助學生課後從事學習行為。

本研究以上述所有研究的開發經驗為基礎,進一步拓展IDML與數位教學系統的概念,發展出一個以二維條碼為基礎之無所不在的學習教材製作系統(QR-based U-Learning Materials Production System, QR-ULMPS)。QR-ULMPS是以Android OS為主要開發平台,將多媒體應用與數位學習技術延伸至可攜式行動裝置上,其包含3個重點發展的子系統,分別是數位教材產生子系統、多媒體資訊分享網站和無所不在學習子系統(如圖三所示)。QR-ULMPS不僅提供多媒體教材的製作工具,亦讓教師進行多媒體教材的分享,讓教師以循序漸進的方式完成無所不在學習系統所需之教材,並建立一個兼具因地制宜的學習環境,進而融入普適化學習以及行動學習的優點。目前,這套系統已導入至真理大學的校園古蹟內,並安排數名教師熟悉QR-ULMPS的操作模式,協助其完成無所不在學習環境的建置,亦在建置完成後,讓真理大學人文學院的學生,進行實地的行動導覽活動。本研究透過質化與量化的統計資料收集與分析,來瞭解教師的接受度與使用意願,並進而能夠提高學生的學習成效與動機。

本研究則以QR-ULMPS為發展基礎,開發一套具有擴增實境技術的行動式古蹟導覽系統,並利用擴增實境(Augmented Reality, AR)的互動性來提高學生的學習動機,進而提升他們的學習成效。此套系統結合了QR碼、擴增實境、教材內容伺服器等技術,讓學生可以藉由手持式行動裝置的輔助,依學生所在的位置去掃描AR-Marker,並下載對應的多媒體學習資訊後,將教學內容以擴增實境的方式呈現在學生眼前,這樣的方式也讓學生可依照自己的喜好和本身需求,自由的在展覽區內進行實地導覽學習,如圖四所示。目前,這套系統已初步導入位於真理大學的牛津學堂內,且在真理大學教師的協助下,製作一部份的3D導覽教材,並實際讓自願的學生做體驗,且於體驗活動結束後,收集相關的回饋資訊,以做為日後的系統改善依據,進而提供一個開放式的擴增實境教學系統。
