Teaching e-Portfolio
I am Kaitlyn Bao Le, a fourth-year student studying Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics) at Australian Catholic University. I started gradually developing my passion for teaching in year 8 when I was inspired by my own maths teachers by their dedication, passion and ability to make mathematics more engaging and accessible. Their teaching styles not only helped me excel academically but also fostered my love for this subject and boosted my confidence in my abilities. From that point on, I grew up considering teaching as the profession which can make an amazing and profound impact on student’s lives where I can inspire my students, become their role models and support students in their holistic development, nurturing their academic growth, as well as their personal and social well-being.
To showcase my journey and growth as a teacher aligned with the Australian Professional Teaching Standards, I have developed this e-portfolio. It serves as a comprehensive collection of evidence, demonstrating my personal and professional development. The portfolio highlights my teaching philosophy, which showcases my pedagogical style and professional teaching identity. Additionally, it showcases a compilation of evidence from my experiences as a preservice teacher, critically evaluated against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at a Graduate level.
