I contributed stories to both the Tulane Hullaballoo, the official Tulane student newspaper, and The Crescent Magazine—a by women for women online newspaper. Below are select stories I have written throughout my college experience that I have been overjoyed to share with my Tulane community.
This piece, 'Inside Louisiana's Rainbow City' is one of my favorites, as this was the first piece I had written that has been published as a cover story. I was delighted to see my story on the cover of newspapers all across campus and share this impactful information.
I wrote this article about the Mardi Gras Indians after interviewing a very inspiring anthropologist who spent 20 years with the tribes. The Mardi Gras Indians are a group that makes up a very important subculture of New Orleans and Mardi Gras overall.
This article delves into a personal interview with Lee Zurik—a very influential and powerful investigative journalist in the New Orleans area at Fox 8. This article not only was successful due to Zurik's prominence in our city, but was very formative to my own outlook on my career.
