My job as a Public Relations and Marketing Associate at Associated Terminals and Turn Services entailed promoting both company's brands and reputations. This typically emerged in the form of corporate communications, both internally and externally. While a lot of what I did daily involved social media campaigns, e-mailing, outreach, research, and other projects, my favorite takeaway from the value I've added at these companies was my newsletters. These newsletters, which are distributed to over 1,000 people and detailed on our website, highlight the positive atmosphere we possess and the vast industry impact we lead. In addition, one of my favorite stories I've published through these companies was created through a partnership I had cultivated with the University of Louisiana System. The story describes one of the most monumental developments in Louisiana maritime industries over the course of recent history, a state Maritime Academy. The story is detailed by an interview with Jim Henderson, President of the UL system, and Mark Wright, Louisiana State Representative.
