Biñan EPS quasi-backs MATATAG

DepEd officer trust MATATAG research but hopes for better K-12

Biñan Educational Supervisor (EPS) admitted that the MATATAG is a trustful curriculum in the recent press conference held at Biñan, however he aims for a better K-12 curriculum.

When Biñan EPS, Edmill Recibe was questioned about the MATATAG curriculum as it holds back-up research concerning the nation’s learning issue.

In-National Incompetence

In the recently conducted Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), the Philippines ranked 77th among the 81 countries, and thus moved the MATATAG curriculum.

In accordance with the press conference, a better K-12 was needed to help the issue.

However, he stated that it won’t happen immediately as there are processes needed to conduct it.

“We cannot change the system overnight,” he remarked.

Furthermore, the country has no resources in changing the system.

“May kakayanan ba financially?” he stated to the audience.

However, The Department of Education (DepEd) is still trying their best to further boost the country’s educational system.
