2024.9 Daehwan has been selected for the Korea NRF (한국연구재단) Global-Matching program between UK and Korea. He will investigate development of III-V/Si photonic platforms for AI applications for the next three years. 

2024.8 Yeonhwa's work has been published in Solar RRL (IF=6) "Impacts of Dislocations and Residual Thermal Tension on Monolithically Integrated InGaP/GaAs/Si Triple-Junction Solar Cells". Congrats!

2024.8 Rafael Chu, the 1st Ph.D. student in the lab is going to SAIT (Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, 삼성종합기술원) at Samsung Electronics after completing his Ph.D. degree at UST KIST School. Congratulations!

2024.8 May Madarang (MS student at UST KIST) has received the best paper award at GPVC (Global Photo-Voltaic Conference). She presented high performance III-V tunnel junctions using hybrid delta doping technique. Congratulations! 

2024.8 At GPVC (Global Photo-Voltaic Conference) this year, Yeonhwa, May, and Eunkyo delivered their oral presentations on monolithic III-V/Si solar cells. Nice work! This picture was taken together with Prof. Larry Lee (UIUC) and Sungmin Lee (Hanyang Univ.)

2024.7 Tim Laryn won the best presentation award at 2024 KIST School academic workshop.  His research is about monolithic integration of quantum dot VCSEL on Si for silicon photonics applications. Congrats Tim!

 2024.6 Rafael  Chu was selected for Outstanding Research Assistant at UST 2024. This award is given to 17 students only this year. Rafael is receiving prize money for the award. Congrats!

2024.6 Rafael has successfully finished his Ph.D. dissertation defense today, completing his 5 year journey at KIST. Congratulations Dr. Rafael Chu!
