This memo was researched and developed for LIS 60040 Information Institutions and Professions. Librarians are often expected to utilize research in order to recognize current and developing practices and theories in order apply them to everyday practice for the benefit of the library, its staff, and its community. My goal for this project was to research the concept of perceived organizational support (POS) and provide a memo to the director summarizing my findings and offering potential solutions in order to provide guidance for library administration including how to increase POS within their library staff, mitigate interpersonal conflict, and encourage positive team building for the benefit of their entire library community.
