Thank you for visiting my ePortfolio! My name is Julia Perrone and I graduated from the iSchool at Kent State University's Master of Library and Information Science program in the spring of 2021.

As a long-time member of the scientific community, I combine my knowledge and experience in the sciences with everything I've learned in the MLIS program. With my specialization in Youth Engagement, I build science literacy in my community through effective and engaging programming and collaborations with community organizations.

Connecting children and teens to the diverse array of available outdoor spaces in their communities, whether natural or highly urbanized, is a major tenant of this goal.

In addition to my love for the magical non-fictional world we live in, I am an avid reader of magical fiction and spend much of my time buried within the pages of a book. I am a proud nerd as well as a geek and truly love sharing my passions with others.
