Von's domain
Description:
Von's domain is the land in which the legendary Von family of vampyres have long reigned over its denizens. The area is a dark and eerie land stricken with scars from numerous battles and skirmishes between the Von's vampyre thralls and the scattered groups of revolutionaries.

When creating the zone, I liked the idea of the vampyres as subjugator of the native peoples, who are in a constant struggle to free themselves from becoming thralls, or food. With this, I based many of the points of interests around the theme of desolation and destruction, with many of the POIs being destroyed towns or villages, or buildings converted into nests of feral vampyres. With that in mind, many of the quests are based around either siding with the villagers, and helping to reclaim their land, or succumbing and becoming a vampyre yourself. This area was heavily inspired by Runescape's Mort Myre Swamp. Note: the header image is simply concept.
