Did you know that most apple trees are a bit lonely? To produce those delicious, crunchy apples we love, they usually need a "pollination partner"—another apple tree nearby that blooms at the same time so the bees can work their magic!
Whether you have a mature orchard or a single sapling in a pot, we want to map our neighborhood’s "pollination power" so we can all ensure our trees are getting the company they need for a bumper crop.
What we need to know
Your Eircode: We only need this to place a "Tree Icon" on the map—no names or exact house numbers will be published!
Apple Variety Name: e.g., Bramley, Discovery, Katy, Egremont Russet
Pollination Group: If you know it! Usually a letter like A, B, or C. If not, just tell us when it blossoms!
Every tree counts! Mapping our private fruit trees helps us find 'pollination gaps' and link local habitats. By supporting our Urban Orchards, we’re growing a more biodiverse community and sweeter harvests!
