At Joy Card Project, we're a passionate team of students committed to making a meaningful impact on our community. We understand the profound significance of mental health and the value of building connections, particularly within the senior citizen nursing home community.
Our journey began when Logan Kim and Brooke Kim joined a volunteer service organization collaborating with the local police department to deliver Valentine's Day cards to senior citizens in our neighborhood. This experience ignited a spark, inspiring us to create a nonprofit organization known as Joy Card Project. Our mission is to spread joy not just on Valentine's Day but on every day of the year, brightening lives one card at a time.
Joy Card Project serves as the bridge between eager volunteers and individuals in need of a little extra joy, whether they reside in a nursing home or assisted living facilities. We firmly believe in the transformative power of small gestures, recognizing that even the simplest acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.
Founded in 2023 by our dedicated Board of Directors, led by Logan Kim, a student at Palos Verdes High Schhol, and Brooke Kim, a student at Orange County School of the Arts, the Joy Card Project is on a mission to combat loneliness and depression, one Joy Card at a time. As a nonprofit organization, we're committed to spreading happiness and fostering connections in our community to expand our reach and influence even more lives.
