I chose The Making of America website by searching American History in the database. My results are to the right.
.When I queried the database, the results were mostly journals, articles, and text. I did not see any images or videos in the search results.
.Yes, I was able to filter the results into only free articles, which was a nice option and had never seen that before in a filter drop down. Once I selected the database that I wanted to feature, I was able to refine the search even further.
.I can sort the articles/books all the way back to the 1800's on this database. The earliest entry was able to find was from 1835.
.The Making of America website appears to use a relational database because it stores information in organized tables with searchable finds like author, text, and date. The database connects related information and allows a user to search using many options.
