I learned how to make a mind map and how to set goals and stay focused on my goals through the mind map! I've never used the mind map before but I have seen it used in presentations, etc. I learned that the mind map can also evolve and you can change your goals as you meet them!
I learned about information hierarchy and how to prioritize information in a more organized way.
I learned about power point presentation and how better to make one and details on how to use it! I learned how to add slides and change the layouts on them. I knew basic details from making them for projects in high school, however, I saw how to change settings and perfect my slideshow after this unit.
I learned more about how to use excel and the basic functions of it. Such as, learning how to add columns and take away columns. As well as, adding automatic subtotals in the cubes.
I learned some new Unit words and their definitions! Like a deliverable file and a working file! Such self explanatory words but never used them before this class.
Overall, this unit has taught me so much more about different types of software, files, and how to use computer functions that I have never known how to use before! Being able to use excel has been a long time goal of mine and I am very excited to continue to learn how to use it throughout this class!
