This Cybersecurity training was very informational and I learned a lot about cybersecurity that I didn't know before. I learned a lot of ways to better protect my computer and phone. As well as ways to avoid opening malicious phishing emails or viruses. I thought that It was hard to hack someone's computer and that it took time and I'd be able to see the signs and that it'd be more obvious, however now I'm learning that its easier than I thought to be hacked and much less obvious as the virsus's are getting more advanced.
This article talks about how hackers are actively attacking adobe readers with malware while they are using adobe. It talks about how the malware is being used to try and collect local sensitive data. It says that there is not anything a victim needs to do in order to set off this malware. This malware was even able to bypass the antivirus software downloaded on the victims computer. Researchers confirmed that additional attacks called Remote Code Execution and sandbox escape are used after the initial malware. By doing this, they can overtake the computer completely. Adobe security is warning its users and saying they should be extremely cautious when opening PDF files on adobe. All adobe users are at risk because malware and viruses do not target specific users.
Exercise extreme caution: Do not open PDF files received from unknown, untrusted, or unverified sources.
Block malicious infrastructure: Network administrators should monitor and block outgoing traffic communicating with the IP address 169.40.2.68 on port 45191.
Monitor network traffic: Defenders should carefully inspect HTTP and HTTPS network traffic for suspicious activity containing the “Adobe Synchronizer” string within the User-Agent field.

Like the first article, I believe this article was intended to educate and warn people about whats happening with the Google Cloud.
A phishing virus is being used to hack Google Cloud Storage of its victims. Its called REMCOS RAT, and its being used to attack the trust that the users have in google cloud storage. This article talks about how phishing has always relied on deception, but how this campaign takes it a step further by hosting a malicious HTML page directly on Google Cloud Storage, on the googleapis.com domain. As soon as the customer logs on and begins exploring the page, the virus starts in the background without the victim even knowing. This type of attack has the potential to spread far and fast because it resembles familiar google services that even experienced users may not recognize what is happening until its too late. The purpose of this attack is so that they can gain full access to the computers data. Some ways to avoid becoming a victim of this phishing attack is to avoid clicking links in unexpected emails, even ones that look familiar like google. This article was written to warn people about the phishing attacks on the Google cloud storage and how it has the potential of spreading fast. It was well written and explained what's happening to avoid others running into the same thing.
