LEVEL DESIGNER | SCENE DRESSER
Nihsan al Gabe is a platformer/puzzle game where players use an input to time travel almost instantaneously to progress.
Developed by my two colleagues and me at AIV, we started this project with a strong reference to the Titanfall 2 level where players travel in time. Within three weeks, we developed a working prototype, and our passion drove us to continue its development during the summer.
We used Unreal Engine 5 to bring Nihsan al Gabe to life. The development process involved prototyping, iterative testing, and problem-solving to create an engaging and challenging gameplay experience. We playtested extensively to gather feedback and improve the overall experience. As a Level Designer, I crafted the map overview and layout, ensuring engaging and challenging levels.
In my role as a Scene Dresser, I enhanced the environment with props and VFX. A unique aspect was designing the same areas in different states: a calm setting in one timeline and a destroyed one in another, adding depth to the game.
Nihsan al Gabe was our first published game marking a significant milestone in our game development journey.
