Incredible close up of my cat, Sissy
Hello, my name is Joshua Graham and I am a freshman at the CCBC Dundalk Campus. I have three cats and two dogs at home. The two dogs are named Chloe and Tanner, and the three cats are named Cookie, Sissy, and Gizmo (Don't tell the dogs, but I'm more of a cat person). I have always loved watching and studying marine life and am studying at CCBC in order to get a degree in Biology and eventually to get a career in marine biology. Some of my favorite activities to do when I don't have classes are to play videogames, go fishing, and swimming. My favorite quote actually comes from a video game, specifically from the game Yakuza 3 where the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, says "If you're really ready to die, you have nothing to lose by living."
In this project, I used diagrams.net in order to create a mindmap of my future goals and what I hope to achieve in both school and my personal life.
In this project, I used pcpartpicker.com to create a custom PC online and described my goals in building this PC. I also included a description of each part of the PC as well as the price of each part in order to obtain a total price for the PC.
In this project, I used google news search to find two articles on different types of cybersecurity issues. I then took each articles basic information such as who wrote it and what it was about. After that, I evaluated each article on its reliability and relevance.
In this project, I used the CCBC library research databases to find information on a location in the world. I gathered all of my information in my individual document. I then transferred specific information to a document that I shared with a partner where we compared our two different locations.
In this project, I used data from the Pew Research Center in order to provide a statistic and information related to social media usage. I also took a social media addiction quiz on itstimetologoff.com in order to determine whether I am addicted to social media or not. I also used information from the Pew Research Center in order to support my own opinion on social media's impact on society.
In this project, I used the creative commons and other online resources to gather digital media. I then explained where they were found, and some licensing information.
In this project I conducted google searches in order to collect info on an emerging technology in the biofuel industry. This technology is called biorefineries and they create fuels and other synthetic byproducts from waste and energy crops. I then created a powerpoint in order to share information on this technology,
Overall, this course has been an eye opener for me. I learned many new things about programs I've previously used and thought I already knew everything about. I also learned things about programs I've never used before like excel. I enjoyed the semester in this course and believe that it was an overall positive experience.
