This game is currently being developed with a group of 5 people, 4 designers and 1 artist, and is the basis for my final University dissertation, or "Final Major Project (FMP)".
This still unnamed game is a 3D action-adventure RPG mixed with a rogue-like. The game is centred around the player collecting relics by travelling through different portals and exploring procedurally generated areas. The player will start off in an open-world environment before going through said different portals to traverse through dungeons. Collecting these relics allows the player to create a specific build to play with, while becoming stronger and fighting increasingly difficult bosses. This was my final University project before graduating and going into the industry, so creating the best work I can will help not only my confidence, but my chances after graduation.
I have integrated many new techniques into my UI design and implementation with this project to enhance my skills and to produce some really good looking work. This project was the first time I had experimented with UI materials, and they have greatly improved the visuals of the UI and it allows me to create the UI style in-engine rather than artificially in, say, Photoshop. Below is an example of the CRT effect for the menus I had created for the project.
Below are the current concepts I have done for the game as well as the currently implemented UI, which conceptually is done but may incur small changes.
Programs Used:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Premiere Pro
Audiokinetic Wwise
Unreal Engine 5.5 [Blueprints]
