Hi, I'm Joseph!

I am a third-year undergraduate at the University of Florida's College of Design, Construction and Planning studying Sustainability and the Built Environment + Geodesign.

I seek to work at the intersection of equitable spatial planning, technology, and environmentalism. Currently, I work in the GeoPlan Center as a student assistant. In the past, I've been a DAAD RISE scholar (2023) and Brown Center Path to Purpose Community Fellow (2021-22). Outside of class and work, I love being outside! I enjoy spending my free time volunteering at Grace Grows community garden, reading in my hammock, or sketching the buildings on UF's campus. I minor in German and I'm passionate about language learning. It's amazing to discover what nuggets of knowledge a language can contain about the culture it is spoken in, which I also see as a mirror for self-reflection on my own life.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and the Built Environment with a German minor, on track to graduate in 2025. My GPA is a 3.98. I'm in UF Honors, the University Research Scholars Program, and I'm an incoming 2024-2025 AI Scholar here at UF. Here is my Relevant Coursework.

In high school, I graduated as Salutatorian with an AP Capstone Diploma and a Spanish Seal of Biliteracy. I was an AP Scholar with Distinction and National AP Scholar. I also supplemented my education through Dual Enrollment courses.

I also love to give my time to clubs and organizations that support causes I'm passionate about. Check it out on my UF and Gainesville Community Involvement pages!
