These classes are timed, and judged on both the rider's position/technique, and the jumping/time faults. Talent searches go up by *, for ex. 1*, then 2*, then 3*. Over fences classes may include open water, wide oxers, liver pools, and more. This is judged in two phases:

Talent Search U/S (top 12 riders)
Classes & Levels
USEF Talent Search 1*: For all horses, fences set at 1.10m to 1.15m, two phases (over fences, flat)
USEF Talent Search 2*: For all horses, fences set at 1.15m to 1.20m, two phases (over fences, flat)
USEF Talent Search 3*: For all horses, fences set at 1.20m, two phases (over fences, flat)
