These classes are strictly judged on the rider's position, technique, control, and ability to ride said equines. Equitation classes can have harder courses - with more bending lines and rollbacks. Equitation medal classes are a spin off of these normal rounds, with 2 phases including:

The work off may include trot jumps, halts, counter-canter jumps, rollbacks, inside turns, and more!
Classes & Levels
Mini Medal: For all horses and ponies, fences set at 2'3 - 2'6 or 2'9 - 3'. 1 phase (over fences).
Hunter Seat Medal & Jumper Seat Medal: For all horses, fences set at 3'3. Hunter Seat includes a hunter-style course, while Jumper includes a jumper-style course. 1 phase in each (over fences).
The Maclay: For all horses, fences set at 3'6. 2 phases (over fences & flat)
The USEF Medal: For all horses, fences set at 3'6. 2 phases (over fences & work-off)
The Equitation Classic: For all horses, fences set at 3'6. 2 phases (hunter phase & jumper phase)
