This project was created because of a need for a repair guide for a DeWalt reciprocating saw on iFixit's website.

Completed tear-down and mock repair of the product we were creating content for.
Photographed necessary images of the device in all staged of the repair.
For this project my team was asked to create several repair guides for a DeWalt reciprocating saw that we were provided. We were tasked not only with writing the instructions but also with taking photos of the different stages of repair and editing them according to the style guide provided by iFixit.
Situation— A repair guide was needed for a DeWalt power tool.
Tasks— Create repair guides for the given product that are easy to follow and conform to the style guide provided by iFixit.
Action— The first task was to disassemble the device and document the procedure for doing so, both in text and photographs. We then had to explain the repair procedure for the relevant part, and reassemble the device while continuing take notes and pictures. With this done, we created step by stem instructions for each repair procedure, accompanied by a list of required parts and tools as well as annotated pictures for each step.
Results—The result was collections of guides for repairing the major parts of the device, as well as a guide for general disassembly.
