Jonas Melgaard Jensen

Pushing for innovative experiences is my goal.

I'm a Danish Game Designer who recently graduated my master in Visual Game and Media design who's looking for more opportunities to grow.

The user is the ultimate end goal so whether I'm designing large open worlds, intuitive core mechanics or cinematic moments I always think about just that, the moments that make for engaging journeys and memorable experiences. I take pride in giving my all to the projects I work on and the teams I'm part of.

I draw inspiration both from the digital realm as well as boardgames when prototyping and conceptualizing. I have experience using Twine, Figma, Miro, visual scripting and other tools to quickly visualize concepts in order to communicate ideas across departments and team members.

Unity has been my engine of choice, but I'm very open for any opportunity to learn something new and perfect my craft.

During my Master studies I've developed several games, one of which was as part of DADIU, and common to all of them was the ambition to understand the intricacies in developing games as part of a team, what it takes to reach the finish line and how compromises can be necessary to reach the best possible product for the team to match the shared vision.

They say, making games is hard, which is why I'm excited to be part of an industry that allows you to grow with every single challenge.
