Piano

Piano Lessons can be taken in many different formats. Here are some possible formats:

Drums

Drum set lessons are available for beginners.

Voice

"Explore Your Voice" is a program designed for those wishing to begin singing or acting.

Teaching Calendar - School Year and Summer

Lessons are weekly during the months of September through May for full-time students. Part time students are expected to have at least 2 lessons per month. Lessons will be cancelled for major holidays. Summer lessons are highly encouraged as students have time to practice and will keep progressing. Summer lessons are much more flexible due to summer vacations and more availability. For the most part, students will only pay for lessons that are taken during the summer - with the exception of no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours. Students taking the summer off will have the next lesson scheduled in September in the same time slight, but this is not guaranteed as I have to keep slots as booked as possible.

Payment and Credits

Full-time students may request credit for three cancelled lessons in a rolling calendar year, for any reason. Part time students qualify for 1 1/2 cancellation. Please plan on paying for your reserved lesson time if you forget a lesson or give less than 24 hours notice. I am happy to reschedule as needed, but space can be very limited and sometimes not available.  Students requiring extended breaks from piano may have to forfeit their slot to a current or new student.

Scholarship and Reduced Rates

Lessons are an investment, and sometimes families experience financial challenges. Please talk to me if you'd like to have lessons, but cannot afford the above rates. You will not be required to provide any financial information, but I've never had to turn down a student due to financial inability to pay. We can always work something out - especially for those students motivated to learn! If you are accepted as a student at reduced rates, please show appreciation by practicing and being prepared. It is important that I feel my taking a reduced rate is offset by seeing I'm investing in someone's future. When I offer reduced rates and then students aren't prepared, I loose motivation to teach.
