In the meantime, to make a payment using your HSA or FSA, log into your HSA/FSA account, and select "Reimburse Me" which will transfer your balance owed to your bank on file. Once the money is received in your bank account, please pay in cash or a personal check. Please DO NOT select "Reimburse Provider" as a temporary credit card will be received to Lakeshore Guidance LLC with no way of processing it. Before your first appointment, please verify coverage by your insurance company. You are welcome to use your Health Savings Account card. You are also encouraged to request an invoice which can be used to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. John Tuttle MA MEd LPC and Lakeshore Guidance is a solely Blue Cross Blue Shield Preferred Provider and does NOT bill other insurance companies - primary or secondary.
The State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulator Affairs requires a specific cost for psychotherapy and counseling. As such, reflected costs for counseling and psychotherapy are grossly inflated, knowing that adjustments will be made after insurance is billed. "Out of Pocket" rates (for those clients and patients not using insurance) will be discussed at your first session. Lakeshore Guidance LLC believes that all individuals should have access to care, and as such, does offer a sliding scale for clients and patients without insurance. Please ask for a "Base Rate Adjustment Form."
You are invited to pay your bill in cash, check, or credit card - including HSA or Flex-Spending accounts. The cost of using HIPPA compliant billing software exceeds Lakeshore Guidance LLC's financial resources. As such, billing will be tracked directly in the client's physical file (Digital records are not kept). Thank you for paying your bill at each session.
