When you get your results, read them and see what resonates with you. Let go of anything that doesn't seem to "be you"! These are guides that may offer insight - they are not a diagnostic. These are particularly inappropriate to use solely when making significant life decisions - like changing careers or evaluating if one should remain or invest in certain relationships, for example. Bring your results to your therapist - they may help with discussion and exploration during interpersonal counseling.
Jung Typology - I ask many clients to start here, but often caution how to use the results. You are not your results, but your results might help you see your preference for processing the world. Remember... With all these tests... Use them to inform your understanding of who you are - Never use these as a label. Bring your results to your therapist and use them as points of discussion - not as a fixed label.
Enneagram and Energy Work - Click on the Enneagram Link. This is a particularly popular test - but I often hear people make statements like, "I'm a 4". Please be careful here. For example, when I took this test, many of my responses reflected the stage I'm at in life - after some significant changes. Please recognize the limitations, and the cautions, when using these as a label. A good website that describes many aspects of the types can be found at The Enneagram Institute.
