Compared to what it took for Ancient Israel to enter the Promised Land, we've got it easy! Although, entry and departure requirements can change at any time, here's what you need to know:
NO VISA IS REQUIRED. For U.S. and Canadian citizens, all you need is a passport that’s valid at least six months longer than your date of arrival in Israel. (For stays up to three months, you don’t need a visa.)
It is amazing that Israel is open and welcoming tourists again! MANY people have traveled to Israel already and have had great experiences since COVID travel restrictions. So, here are the headlines you should know about COVID and Israel:
VACCINATION IS NOT REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL TO ISRAEL
Although vaccination is NOT required to enter Israel, the CDC recommends everyone getting vaccinated and a booster dose if it has been over 6 months since your last COVID vaccine.
NEGATIVE COVID TEST IS NOT REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO ISRAEL.

Below are more specific details you should know (please read carefully):
WEEKS BEFORE DEPARTURE
You don't want to get sick (including COVID) in the couple weeks leading up to departure. Of course, there are no guarantees. So, stay healthy by getting good sleep, practicing extra good hygiene, and being socially distant from any recently exposed to the COVID. Don't stress about it, but just take extra precaution so you are healthy before departure. Travel insurance is an option to be extra safe.
BEFORE DEPARTURE
COVID TESTING NOT REQUIRED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.
Fill out the entry statement form in the 10 days before the departure flight. You will show a confirmation attesting to the completion of the arrival statement form. You may have to present a digital copy of this confirmation or a printed copy. Keep this confirmation until after passing through border control in Israel.
IN FLIGHT
During an international flight consider wearing a mask (KN95) on your nose and mouth and practice social distancing and hygiene to mitigate any risks of contracting COVID while traveling. Check with your airline for details.
UPON ARRIVAL
COVID TESTING NOT REQUIRED UPON ARRIVAL.
DURING OUR STAY
Israel has canceled all mask wearing indoor (except in hospitals). So wearing a mask while in Israel is entirely up to you. The vast majority of recent travelers to Israel have had successful experiences without infection. Although unlikely, we should all do our best to stay healthy and avoid infection before departure, in flight, and while over there.
PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FROM ISRAEL
COVID TESTING NOT REQUIRED UPON PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.
