Throughout the years, I have created various YouTube videos showcasing my artwork. These videos include slide shows of my paintings and watercolor painting demonstrations that display the complete painting process from start to finish. I needed to find find a simple solution to set up a video camera to record a painting in progress which didn't cost a fortune. I tried various methods but they were not very good. I didn't like having the camera set up behind me because either my head got in the way or the resultant video was set at an angle which meant the viewer had to tilt their head to watch it giving them a neck ache. I thought about it long and hard and eventually came up with a very simple and effective solution. I already owned a tripod, so with that, a 2 inch screw and a plastic cable tie I solved the problem. Any artist should be able to use this to make excellent videos with ease. It's all in the above video from my YouTube channel.
