Career & technical Education (CTE)
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department Overview
Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides an important pathway to success for high school students and offers each student opportunities to personalize his or her education based on their career interests and unique learning needs. With a wide range of Business & IT, Marketing, STEM, and Family & Consumer Sciences classes, the CTE department helps students find a passion for pursuing learning both inside and outside the classroom.
The CTE program areas provide opportunities for students to explore a variety of careers while becoming productive problem solvers, responsible citizens, collaborative workers, and continuing learners. CTE courses emphasize Virginia's Workplace Readiness Skills, including opportunities to earn industry certifications. CTE courses empower all students with college, career, and life readiness skills for continued success.
*All CTE courses fulfill the Fine Arts/Career and Technical Ed credit for your diploma and offer Career and Technical Education Credential testing to meet graduation requirements
