LTC Keith Lochner (Ret.)
Lieutenant Colonel Keith D. Lochner USA (Ret) Senior Army Instructor has been teaching JROTC since 2011- graduated from Valley High School (Las Vegas) in 1982; earned his Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1987 and then earned his Masters in Organizational Management with a specialization in Leadership and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ashford University. Lt. Col Lochner was commissioned a Second Lieutenant In June 1986 from the UNLV Senior ROTC program. Lt. Col. Lochner entered service in 1987 as an armor officer and has served in a variety of positions to include three company commands, battalion and brigade operations officer, squadron executive officer, battalion logistics and personnel officer, battalion command of a combined arms tank battalion, Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security, Director of Personnel and Resource Management, and Deputy Commander for an Army installation. Lt. Col. Lochner's final assignment was as the Chief of Staff for a Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Lt. Col. Lochner retired from Active Duty in January 2011 after serving 26 years in our nations armed forces. Lt. Col. Lochner is a certified Army Instructor and has taught battalion and brigade command post personnel in staff functions for both the US. Army, US Marines, and the following foreign armies: Japan, Germany, Ukraine, and India. Lt.Col. Lochner is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Army Doctrine Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Total Army Instructor Course,the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Level II-III course and certified as an Level II NASP Archery Instructor. He is a BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR instructor. He has served extensively in disaster support operations such as the LA Riots, the Northridge Earthquake, and Katrina to name a few. Lt. Col Lochner has worked in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Lt. Col Lochner is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, University Nevada Las Vegas Alumni Assoc, Armor Officer's Association, A Knight of the Order of Saint George, and a Distinguished Member of the 185th Armor Regiment Association. In 2018 Lt. Col Lochner was named Army Instructor of the Year for the entire western United States and Pacific Rim. Lt. Col Lochner is the current chair for the school Physical Education department. He has two children, Steven who is 26 and currently serving in the US Army and Kaitlyn a Freshman at the University of La Verne.

SFC Christopher O'Neal (Ret.)
Sergeant First Class (Retired) Christopher C. O’Neal, a native of Georgia, and currently assigned as the Army Instructor for James Madison High School in San Diego, CA. He retired in 2016 from the Army with 21 years of service. SFC (Ret) O’Neal graduated from high school in 1993 and in 1995 attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, VA to become 88Kilo Watercraft Operator. He has served tours of duties in Virginia, Hawaii, New York, and Kuwait. He has conducted missions in Australia, Southern Philippines, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Guam, Indonesia, and Malaysia. He is an Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Operation Enduring Freedom veteran. He has served in various leadership positions from squad leader, leading seaman, boatswain, recruiter, and platoon sergeant. He has held various staff positions from Training NCO, Battalion Operations NCO, Senior Recruiter and Training Developer/ Instructor NCOIC. He is a graduate of the Army Senior Leadership Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Basic Recruiter Course, all four Army Watercraft Operator schools, Army Basic and Advanced Instructor Course, certified Archery Instructor. He is a BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR Instructor. He obtained his Associate degree in General Studies from University of Management and Technology with a GPA of 3.8. Over his 21 year career he has earned a bounty of awards and decorations including the Ancient Order of Saint Christopher, the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters) and Army Achievement Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters). He has one daughter, Isabella O’Neal, who is 18.
