Cadet Challenge is a fun and convenient way to stay in shape and make new friends.
Our team trains to compete against other schools in physical activities, including a basketball toss, relay race, push-ups, crab-walks and more. The training phase of cadet challenge involves pushing yourself, as well as motivating your teammates to perform their very best.
Cadet Challenge Commander

Gabriel Burnette will be the commander for this year's Cadet Challenge. As the commander, he will have the responsibility of getting cadets prepared and ready for the Cadet Challenge competition of 2021. The Cadet Challenge team will be holding practice workouts weekly for those who want to compete in the competition. Within the JROTC program at James Madison High School, Burnette has been in a variety of teams including ADT, Regulation Drill, Varsity Color Guard, Archery, etc. He has held the command position for Best Drilled Squad for two years in a row (2019 & 2020). He was also the Battalion Executive Officer for the school year of 2019-2020. Outside of the JROTC program, he has started his process of joining the United States Marine Corps by enlistment. After high school, Burnette wants to serve in the Marine Corps then become a firefighter and serve his community.
