Academic Team gives cadets the chance to test their knowledge on a variety of subjects in a competitive atmosphere against other JROTC programs! JROTC Leadership Academic Bowl, otheriwse known as JLAB, challenges a team of 4 cadets. to answer questions based on knowledge and JROTC curriculum.
(A 2.0 GPA or higher is required to join either team)
Academic/JLAB Commander
c/MAJ Danica Zagala
Danica Zagala will be the Academic League Commander for the Madison High School's AJROTC Battalion during the 2020-2021 school year. As the commander, her job will be to run practices, lead cadets in competitions, and also run the JLAB competitions. Outside of Academic League, she is also the Battalion Project Manager of Finance, as well as an active member of the Color Guard and Honor Guard teams. In her free time, she enjoys playing Tetris and learning Trivia-like information to possibly incorporate in Academic Team or League competitions. In the future, she intends to pursue a STEM career and is currently exploring various fields.
