Our Research
Our research aims to define how systemic metabolism regulates cancer and immunity. His laboratory has pioneered the discovery of signaling functions of circulating bioactive molecules, including nutrients, diet- and microbiota-derived metabolites, and neuroendocrine factors, that coordinate communication between peripheral organs, the immune system, and tumors. By elucidating how these circulating molecules reprogram immune-cell function and the tumor microenvironment, our research is uncovering new strategies for cancer prevention, immunotherapy, and precision nutrition.
