We are hiring! If you are insterested in our research, please apply!
Joint postdoctoral positions are available in the Chen (Department of Medicine) and He (Department of Chemistry) research groups at The University of Chicago.
Dr. Jing Chen is a renowned expert in the area of cancer metabolism, in particular the signaling interplay between metabolic and cell signaling networks for cancer development and therapy (https://biologicalsciences.uchicago.edu/faculty/jing-chen-phd). Dr. Chuan He is the world leading pioneer of RNA modifications (epitranscriptomics) and DNA modifications (epigenetics) (https://he-group.uchicago.edu/index.html). We are looking for strong postdoctoral candidates who are interested in studying the biological and chemical metabolisms underlying the functional relationship between metabolites/nutrient and epigenetics/epitranscriptomics that is crucial for human health and cancers.
Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in cancer biology, cell biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, or related fields. Candidates with experience in animal models are preferred but not required. Candidates should be highly self-motivated and demonstrate ability for innovative and rigorous scientific research (with record of publications in peer-reviewed journals). Interested candidates should send their CV, a brief summary of their research interests and accomplishments, and a list of three references to Dr. Jing Chen (jingchen@uchicago.edu).
