During the months of December through February, I was participating in the lighting crew for that years Winter Opera for our mandatory technical rotations Freshman year at UNCSA. Not only was I working to hang light fixtures, focus, and cable run but I was also selected to be one of the spotlight ops. I learned to appreciate the meticulous work done for lighting (and the ground after getting stuck in an elevator in the 9th floor!) and developed quite a knack for it.
