For my final year of high school, I decided I wanted to take it easy and went for positions that didn't require as many after school rehearsals. This was quickly proven false to me when my school was selected to be the first high school to perform a Jr. version of On your Feet, a jukebox musical following the life of Gloria Estefan. This production was one of the biggest I had ever gotten the chance to participate in and though I was attending even more rehearsals after school to take photos and research what it meant to gain sponsorhsips for a show and publisize to the masses. For an entire year, I was apart of this crazy process starting in my hometown of Miami going all the way to Mainstage at State competition performing in front of 300 peoples and passing out the playbill I dedicated many months to. This opportunity was one I will never forget as I not only got my first taste of what it means to be a touring production, loading in and out in short spans, but I also got the chance to meet THE Estefan's themselves, Gloria & Emilio, who attended the show and showed their admiration with the show.
