The Weight of Grief created by Celeste Roberge
It is important to remember that no matter how much you are struggling others have and are struggling too.
We all find different paths to take on our journey to understand and carry the heavy weight of grief and all that comes with it. Writing, painting, meditation, photography, music, time in nature, exercise....and on and on. What matters is that you take those first steps to find your own path.
Here are a few of the poems others have written in trying to understand and help others understand grief. We have discovered them along our journey and they have made us feel less alone and reassured us that it's ok to feel the way we do.
"Your trauma made you stronger"
NO - My trauma made me traumatized. It made me incredibly weak. I had sleepless nights, and it gave me feelings that I never wanted to experience.
I made myself stronger. By dragging myself out of a dark place and dealing with consequences that weren't my fault.
