And once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person you walked in.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF)
https://www.compassionatefriends.org
While our main mission is to supply emotional support for bereaved families after the death of a child, the secondary part of our mission is to provide information and education about parental, sibling, and grandparent grief to relatives, friends, coworkers, employers, professionals, and other members of the community to help them to be supportive.
As a nonprofit self-help support organization, TCF believes that bereaved families often receive the greatest assistance by working through their grief in an atmosphere of shared understanding with others who have experienced the same tragic loss. Over 600 local chapters of TCF throughout the nation provide supportive environments through monthly meetings, chapter newsletters, lending libraries, and other activities. Additionally, online support is offered through chat rooms and Private Facebook groups. Each year, TCF’s national conference is attended by as many as 1500, with helpful workshops and speakers, culminating in a Walk to Remember. TCF’s Worldwide Candle Lighting held on the second Sunday in December remembers all children gone too soon.
