During the 2021-2022 school year, I was honored to be selected as a member of the Wayne County Aspiring Leaders Program. The program's goal is to find and train a new wave of future administrators. Each month, we met with Steve Edwards of Edwards Educational Services to discuss topics ranging from instructional leadership, management & operations, culture & climate, and more.
Our final assignment was to conduct an action research project in our schools. Another teacher from FGPK8 and I decided to conduct our action research project on determining if there was a link between "brain breaks and active classrooms" and academic success and behavior management.
