JCI Philippines' Elite Programs are a collection of prestigious searches, celebratory events, and impactful drives designed to elevate exceptional young leaders, inspire positive change, and solidify JCI's brand and cause in the Philippines. These programs encompass recognition of excellence through the TOYM and TOFARM awards, promoting youth leadership and unity through YLEA and JCI Week, and building a stronger community through Oplan Kaagapay.
Through these Elite Programs, JCI Philippines inspires positive action, empowers young leaders, and solidifies its role as a catalyst for positive change in the nation.
This prestigious annual recognition program honors exceptional young Filipinos aged 18-40 for their significant contributions across various fields and communities. TOYM, known for its rigorous selection process, celebrates not only professional achievements but also dedication to inspiring positive change. Over the years, TOYM aims to nurture leadership development among young Filipinos and uphold values like service, integrity, and innovation, motivating them to contribute to nation-building.
TOFARM is a national award program launched in 2012 to recognize the resilience, ingenuity, and strength of Filipino farmers. It aims to promote awareness of the agricultural sector and encourage youth involvement in farming across all regions. Open to farmers, fisherfolks, agricultural cooperatives, and organizations, TOFARM fosters inclusivity by engaging both public and private stakeholders in agriculture, fisheries, and livestock. The program's ultimate goal is to inspire a steady increase in youth venturing into agriculture, leading to increased investment, scientific advancement, and a sustainable food supply.
JCI Week is an annual nationwide event where all local JCI chapters unite for a week-long celebration of camaraderie and impactful community initiatives. Local organizations are encouraged to plan activities that:
Increase brand awareness: Showcase JCI's mission and values to the public through online and offline platforms
Promote JCI's Four Areas of Opportunity: Implement national programs and local initiatives aligned with these core areas (Business & Entrepreneurship, Individual & Chapter Development, Community Action, and International Cooperation)
Enhance member value: Create activities that retain and attract new members to local organizations
Foster camaraderie: Build stronger ties and connections among JCI members through fellowship events.
YLEA recognizes outstanding graduating elementary and high school students from both public and private schools who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements and leadership qualities. JCI Philippines and its partners collaborate with local schools to identify deserving awardees who receive a commemorative medal and certificate. YLEA awardees become part of a nationwide network of young leaders, fostering inspiration and motivation for future generations.
Oplan Kaagapay, meaning "operation plan companion" in Filipino, embodies JCI Philippines' commitment to disaster preparedness and relief. This program focuses on providing assistance to communities affected by natural disasters and emergencies. Key activities include mobilizing volunteers, fundraising, distributing relief goods, and supporting community rebuilding efforts such as infrastructure repair, livelihood assistance, and educational programs. Oplan Kaagapay operates on a three-pronged approach:
Readiness: Creating awareness campaigns, building partnerships, and securing resources for disaster preparedness.
Response: Mobilizing resources to provide immediate relief to victims and connect them with essential needs.
Rehabilitation: Implementing short- and long-term solutions to support recovery efforts within affected communities.
