Finalist, Best Inclusivity Program for Persons with Disabilities (Area Conference)
MindSCAPE: SPED AAC Training and Introduction to Pic-A-Talk AAC is about the promotion of the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) app developed by one of the members of JCI Iligan Maria Cristina. It aims to promote awareness of Augmentative and Alternative Communication to aid in the care of people with speech and language disabilities. The project also aims to provide tools such as smartphones for the families of children with autism and other communication impaired individuals through the Pic-a-Talk AAC app.
One of JCI Cabanatuan Golden Grain's signature initiatives, Project WASH, teaches students how to maintain a routine for proper sanitation and access to hygiene kits like hand soaps to help prevent the spread of various diseases, especially to students in public schools in Cabanatuan City. It also aims to address the community's issue of equal access to potable water. JCI CGG ran this initiative even before the pandemic for over three years.
"RUN YOUR RAISE" was a virtual fun run organized by JCI Philippines, allowing participants to run at their own pace while raising funds for JCI projects. During JCI Week, every participant became a fundraiser, running their race and making a difference.
