TEACHING
My teaching philosophy centers on helping students critically engage with the social world by connecting their lived experiences to broader institutional and structural forces. I emphasize theoretical pluralism, encouraging students to approach social issues from multiple perspectives and to cultivate a sociological imagination. My student-centered approach extends beyond the classroom through individualized mentorship of both undergraduate and graduate students, supporting their development in research, professional planning, and academic transitions. Whether in small seminars or large lectures, I strive to create intellectually rigorous and inclusive learning environments that support diverse student trajectories and link sociological thinking to real-world challenges.
