Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope everyone had a fun-filled and joyous Christmas and a Happy New Year. The holidays went by in a flash and now its time to get the wheels turning again. In January I have the Fort Wayne Farm Show, some PARPS, lessons at the local library and also helping at the Indiana Green Expo for our Indiana turf and landscape folks.
The first few months of the year are always packed with programing for famers and those in the green industry who are patiently waiting for spring. Late winter and into early spring is about the only time to attend workshops and classes for either PARP Credits or Category Pesticide Licenses. If you have questions about any of your numbers feel free to reach out to our office.
Here's to a great start to 2024 and as always, If you have any questions feel free to reach out to the Extension Office and leave your name, phone number and e-mail address.

December Review
Through grants and community support, our office was able to purchase a 'blender bike' from Rock the Bike to use in our programing. Our Wabash County Office has borrowed these from neighboring counties, but now we have our own! This is a great tool to get kids and adults moving and learning about health, nutrition and staying active. We have had great luck with this system in the past making salsa and smoothies. The plan is to take this along with us when we have booths at the Wabash Farmers Market, First Fridays and other outreach events.
Here we see youth harvesting microgreens from the grow tower at the North Manchester Library.
Rolls that Geoff does for the NMPL Grow Tower. He starts seeds in his greenhouse with grow lights, helped to set up the set, serve as an advisory roll when questions arise.

With limited ANR Extension Educators in our area Geoff is traveling to help cover PARP classes.
After Bird Bingo we made birdfeeders to take home. Se used pinecones, peanut butter, and bird seed.
